Idea Paint

Anyone using this in their box? I'm considering it for certain areas, not necessarily an entire wall. Looking for feedback. Thanks!

Re: Idea Paint

We have around 15sqm of idea paint whiteboard space. We are using it since january.
Besides its working, you have to follow instructions very well and although while painting you will feel like there is more paint than neccessary to coat the 4,5sqm per can, you shouldnt do it. Because if you paint a larger area you will find small spots where the markers cant be wiped off entirely.

Even though its not the best picture you you may get the idea:

I think these are cheaper persqft than paint, and reusable/movable.
It's like a big white board post-it note.

Re: Idea Paint

We used 4'x8' sheets of shower board. Just screwed it to the wall with wall anchors and washers and stuff. Was about $75/sheet, not bad for 32 sq ft of white board. Didn't clean off quite as easily as actual whiteboard, but wasn't hard to clean by any means.

Re: Idea Paint

Idea Paint is extremely expensive; borders on rip-off. I paid 11.95 per sheet @ Home Depot for white shower board. Works like a charm.

Re: Idea Paint

Lowes also sells 4x8 sheets of white board - $11/sheet. It's not official white board, but works great. You need to use a cleaner for markers that have been on for a while. We just keep a bottle of simple green and a rag handy
