Thanks, Andrew. Oh, dear lord, what met-cons could you possibly be looking at? Hahaha.

Re: Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger - Tamara's log

12/24/10

Squats:
2 x 5 x 45 lbs
5 x 95 lbs
3 x 115 lbs
2 x 140 lbs
1 x 160 lbs
1 x 180 lbs
3 x 5 x 193 lbs - Fail on fifth rep of second set.

Sigh. I'm not gonna say that I would have made it through the third set anyway because I am walking the finest line with stalling on novice progression. But, I came out of the hole crazy slow, and I dropped my elbows, and the bar started to slide, and I was wearing a shirt that was thin and not 100% cotton...and I had to dump it. Oh well. Life goes on. I got 9 reps in. And, 5 x 193 lbs is still a PR . I'll figure out what my plan is for next week soon enough.

Holiday WOD at CrossFit Asheville:
3 rounds of 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off of
Box jumps
Wall balls - 20 lb ball to 10' target
Pullups - dead hang
88 reps total, most of which were box jumps

I did this WOD because it was holiday attire, and I needed to be sparkly. I suceeded, haha. I also thought it would be good for me to spend a day being a part of the community and not being that weird unemployed fat girl who always lifts by herself. Holiday spirit and all.

Not even gonna lie. As much as it is sometimes lonely lifting by myself, I do not miss WODs. And, I was already sore last night, and I am sore this morning, and I DON'T MISS BEING SORE LIKE THIS.

The 2011 IWF Masters World Championship is in Cyprus. I'ma stick with being a weightlifter, kthxbai.

This is super work girl! I am falling behind. But I did ride on a stand up paddle surfboard for the first time today, so, at least I'm not stagnating.

By the way, I'm NOT one of the people who thinks you look better skinnier. I suspect you were implying that I was.

I do like abs though. Especially ON ME.

God, the way you and Tom talk it's like you're retirees or something. You are not effing stagnating.

I know you're not. I was actually referring to Tom, Jay-R, and Corey .

Sigh with the abs. You know, if you gained some weight, your squat would be better.

Re: Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger - Tamara's log

12/29/10

First time O-lifting in a week. I could tell, haha.

Snatch:
10 x 1 x 88 lbs - One miss because I got lazy. Otherwise, they were solid.

Cleans - 5 x (1+1), hang clean from hip + hang clean from below the knee
5 x 93 lbs - Yeah, I know this was way light. I have no excuse. I am terrible from below the knee, and I intended to go heavier, and I didn't.

Front squat:
1 x 113 lbs
1 x 123 lbs
1 x 133 lbs
1 x 143 lbs
1 x 153 lbs
1 x 163 lbs
1 x 173 lbs - Fail

Push press:
3 x 63 lbs
2 x 83 lbs
1 x 103 lbs
1 x 113 lbs
1 x 123 lbs
1 x 133 lbs
1 x 138 lbs - BOOM

So, last week wasn't a fluke. I can push press 138 lbs. It was solid. I really feel like I could have hit 143 lbs, but open gym was over, and I was going to get kicked out, haha.

Functional strength: only if you have the (matzoh) balls. Image NSFW.
