CrossFit Newbie

Hi Everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself and get to know more crossfitters. I stumbled upon CrossFit a few months ago when a trainer at my Adventure Boot Camp class told us about these insane exercises and the crazy people who did them. I thought being up at 5am for a boot camp class was crazy enough, so I didn't give it much thought.

My very first workout was Fran, then came Barbara and Cindy (can someone say ). Needless to say I really didn't want to do this after encountering those vicious females but I'm still chugging along. This week is my one month mark, and although I've been kind of flaky at times, it's getting harder NOT to do CF. I thought this would be just a good way to get into better shape for my wedding, but it's definitely turned into more than that.

I am hooked.

Re: CrossFit Newbie

Welcome, Angelica!

If you're not quite familiar with CF, I recommend you visit the Main Site and click on the "START HERE" link on the menu at the left side of the home page. There are additional links to FAQs and there is also one to the "BrandX Scaled Workouts." These are great - - for any reason if you encounter a WOD which you believe is too advanced or involves weights above which you believe you can or want to handle, you can scale the workout accordingly.

This forum is fantastic and full of knowledgeable and devoted Crossfitters who are willing to share information and their experiences!

Best Wishes - - both for CF and for your upcoming wedding! Glad you're drinking the Kool Aid! It's life changing!
