i'm new to crossfit, but old to rowing. My day job is web marketing geek for Concept2 rowing - i've personally started to use crossfit to crosstrain for my main passion - rock climbing and bouldering. I wanted to introduce myself in this section so that if anyone has any rowing related questions they would have a contact.

I also want to invite anyone with a military affiliation to participate in our military rowing challenge - a four person team relay event which is just getting started. You can see the current leader board at:
http://www.concept2.com/sranking03/t...mStandings.asp

so far we only have one real entry - but i'd love to see more. If anyone is interested in participating please email me at billp@concept2.com or PM.

Bill, Do you have alink that breaks down what's involved in the military challenge? Couldn't find anything on your site except the leader board which does describe the event. Thanks, Chris

Bill,

Welcome. I'll likely contact you to pick your brain on behalf of my junior rower kids.

Chris - i've posted in a few more details below. I'd rather not post the complete instructions (which include a password for team captain set up) so that i can keep track of how many people are getting involved.

regards

"Welcome to the Concept2 Military Challenge.
To participate, form a 4 person team, set the monitor on a Concept2 Indoor Rower to a 2000 meter distance row, and have each team member in turn row 500 meters. The clock keeps running, transition time between team members is included in your score. After your team has rowed the 2000m piece, record the time and use this page to enter your time.

If your team rows a faster time later, you will be able to edit, update or delete this team's information by clicking the "pencil" icon on the team standings page."
