Re: Recovery

Get 8 hours of sleep every night.

Eat a lot of vegetables, fruits and fatty meats.

Limit booze, sugar, grains and dairy.

Drink a lot of water.

Get outside in the sun everyday if possible.

Relax.

And take an extra rest day if I need it.

Re: Recovery

First I usually try and pull my shirt off after a WOD because it's so g*ddamn hot but it's tough because the sweat makes it stick to my body like flypaper.
Then I usually walk in a circle for about 5 minutes slumped over and trying really hard not to throw up my dinner. I also sip water and curse God and Greg Glassman at the same time because I'm pretty sure death is near at that point. From here my legs have pretty much given out and I lay on my back still Cursing God and Greg but feeling fantastic at the same time. Then I stretch for a few minutes. By this time I'm pretty much recovered.

Re: Recovery

Sleep, contrast showers, ice baths.

Good food is a must as is proper hydration.

Active rest is nice too.

Re: Recovery

Log or post online, shower, chocolate milk and peanut butter, brush teeth, and sleep.

Repeat.

Hey! You've been spying on me! Actually I'm pretty sure that routine is about standard more often than not.

Re: Recovery

Glutamine is a MUST after a workout and before bed. It really works for recovery.
