I recently asked some questions about the Zone diet, but found my self still confused. I am starting the Zone to enhance my performance. I am currently lifting heavy weights. My trainer told me to take my protein up to 1g per pound of my weight(130). That would mean I would be on about a 20 block diet. I just would like to know if he is correct and putting me in the right direction. Also should I workout before or after a meal or snack. I'm kinda new to the whole eating right part of working out. If some one could help that would be great thanks again.

130/7 = 18.57. So if you wanted to eat 1g protein per pound bodymass it would be 18.57 blocks. The standard Zone calculator removes bodyfat and calculates based on lean body mass. Lets guess your bodyfat is 15% because it is around average and an easy number to work with your lean body mass is then .85 * 130=110.5 . which would be 15.78 blocks. The standard activity mulitplier recommended for the WoD is .8 so .8 * 15.78= 12.64 . So 12-13 blocks would be your starting point using that method.
