Just an update incase anyone cares. Since moving to the Texas Method, I have gotten significantly stronger.

I'm up about 10 lbs since then (245 now). At the end of 5-3-1 my squat was at 405 (down from 450). On the Texas Method, I hit 460x1 two months ago, and just today I hit 425x5. Gonna leave 5-3-1 on the backburner for when I get older and I need more recovery time.
