Shoulder Pain during Overhead Movements
I'm getting some sharp, acute pain in the front of both shoulders when I do heavy Push Presses and Push Jerks. The pain gets particularly bad on max lifts of Push Jerks and it almost feels like my arms are going to come out of the sockets, combined with the sharp pain in the front. I went to see doctor and he told me that I might have some impingement and should switch to dumbbells. I don't want to be Push Jerking with dumbbells. Anybody got any suggestions or advice?

Re: Shoulder Pain during Overhead Movements
Impingement:
1. Rest for now (if it's chronic, then no... very light exercise NOTHING that hurts though). 2. ICE... A LOT. Direct ice massage is good, but if not anything else works. 3. Massage... push blood from the infraspinatus area into the acromion. Also aim for any spots that may be bunched up or tight 4. Again, nothing that aggravates |

Re: Shoulder Pain during Overhead Movements
I appreciate it, Steven. I will lay off it, ice it, and get a massage. Thank you.
