Re: Lindsay's workout log

Well, the rained subsided yesterday and I was going to go for a run but when I went to change I realized I brought 2 shirts and no pants. So, I walked instead of ran..and only about 2 miles total..walked to downtown to find some cheap workout pants so I could still crossfit last night since I wouldn't have time to run home to grab some pants.

The WOD was hard for me..I feel like I have been struggling more than normal lately. I feel like my eating is there but I haven't been sleeping very well and am wondering if that is the reason. Anyway, I did snatches for my ground to overhead and used the skinniest band for ring dips. I had a total score of 7 rounds plus 10 reps.

Tonight's WOD is:
GO!

4 Rounds:
20 Med Ball Cleans 20#/14#
20 Wall Ball FB: Double Squat!!!
20 Overhead Med Ball Situps
200m Run FB: Stair/Hill Run

Re: Lindsay's workout log

Last night's workout was awesome! I felt like I did pretty good...I did it in a total time of 15:45. I used to only use the 7ft mark for the wall balls but now I do the 10ft mark and it slows me down but I am so glad I can do it!

Today is a REST DAY. It is much needed I think. Usually on days I don't go to crossfit I usually run or do something else but not today. Well, I did do 50 burpees when I woke up this morning but that is it. This is my first complete rest day since 9/5. I was planning on running on my lunch but was listening to an article about overtraining and my body is tired so I am TRYING to embrace it. I get nervous about not working out..not sure why but today I am embracing it! Gonna keep my carbs a little lower but keep everything else pretty much the same and get back at it tomorrow!

Re: Lindsay's workout log

Yesterday's WOD was a fun one. I did 5 rounds the first half..I did my first one at RX for Hang snatches but then went down to 55..this is just a very technical move and my form wasn't that great and it was taking me forever to get through just that one round. So, I scaled it back and was able to do snatches the whole time so I could work on form. The second have I completed 6 rounds...ended with 100dubs for extra credit

I REALLY wanted to run on my lunch today but I am pretty sore and I have Fight Gone Bad tomorrow and want to do really well. SOOO, I am sadly not going to and taking a rest day. I MIGHT still try to go for a quick jog after work but I have an event to go to tonight so I might not have time..

We shall see..excited for Fight Gone Bad though!

Re: Lindsay's workout log

Fight Gone Bad was awesome..the energy from everyone was amazing. I scored a 303. I was VERY happy with this because my goal was 280.

Yesterday I took a much needed rest day. Went 5 days straight last week. I took a nap, watched the Seahawks beat the Chargers, watched a movie, and went to bed by 9..great day

Today's WOD is:
Bring the Noise

1000m Row
Then...
4 Rounds
20 Burpees
20 Sandbag Swing to Squats 40#/30#
200m Sandbag Run FB: Stair/Hill Run
Finish With...
100 Double Unders

I am also going to start a 5/3/1 program. Tonight I am going to get my 1 rep max for strict press and maybe back squat if I have time. After I get my maxes for those 2 and deadlifts, a trainer there is going to help me with percentages on what I need to do this week. I am looking forward to starting some sort of strength program!

Oh, and this is day 2 of a paleo challenge for me..not that much different than what I was doing but I am cutting alcohol, stevia, dairy except for whey, and my ezekial bread and sweet potatoe..really want to try cutting down some bodyfat...I will try to limit fruit but it will be my vice probably and as long as I eat more on workout days than non workout days I should be fine.

Happy Monday!

Re: Lindsay's workout log

I totally kicked but in yesterday's workout..it felt good! I finished it in 25:25.
Also, I did my 1rm for strict press. My max is 70lbs. Not very much but it is a starting point.

Tonight's WOD is:
Touch the Sky
75 Clean and Jerks 95#/65# FB: 135#/95# FB Plus: 155#/105#

Every minute on the minute: 5 Pullups

I think I am going to try and do 88lbs..exciting!

Oh, and will find my 1rp on either deadlift of back squat..haven't decided which yet.
