Re: My Garage Gym Project

What kind of heater is that? And how well does it work, I am currently looking for a heater since the garage is getting pretty cold lately. Thanks.

Hey, I also have baseboard heating in the garage. The heater you are asking about is the Quartz Radiant Overhead heater. I bought it from a local Lee Valley Tools. You can find it here also: http://www.leevalley.com/US/wood/pag...56,43465,44590 (WFS)

I am in the process of getting an insulated garage set up...I find the radiant heater works excellent with everything in line of sight. Since it is very affordable, you might even want to snag a second. I manage with what I have for heaters...some days are still pretty chilly, (When it hits -25 outside) but those are the days that I wear a sweater instead of a T-shirt.

Re: My Garage Gym Project

Thanks Man, I'm getting a couple of these for my 17x24 garage gym. I'm from Michigan and a little baby when it comes to the cold.

No worries...I hate the cold too! Your Garage is nearly the same Square Footage as mine. With two of those heaters you should not be disappointed.

Re: My Garage Gym Project

Usually, I'm not a "One-Upper" but I've got both of you beat...I'm from Maryland and when the temp in my garage drops to near 50* F (Less than 40* outside), I can't take it lol. I've got a little space heater in there but it's only good for a few degrees of improvement. I'm a more of a baby than both of you lol!

.

I am not gonna lie, I look forward to the spring. We got our first snowfall on Christmas Day. Since then the temp has dropped like crazy. I feel like I am living on Hoth.

I don't like anything below 60F and it was about 25 when I was scraping the ice off my windows at 5am this morning.

I REALLY like your set-up. It's pretty much what I envision my garage gym being some day. Thanks for sharing.

Re: My Garage Gym Project

I too like your set up man. I'm hoping to open up a garage affiliate in June '12.

That would be sweet. I was thinking about going that path as well. However, I am looking to finish off my degree before looking into it.
