Re: Food before working out

I can't comment on the validity or effectiveness of this but the Lean Gains Intermittent Fasting protocol calls for a semi-fasted workout where you just take BCAA's in the form of a shake preworkout. Judging from the results page on the website, it looks like most of them at least maintained their strength and muscle while getting really lean.

My routine is close to Kent's reply:

I have a fairly standard base smoothie I make:
2 Bananas
1 cup Blueberries (or Blackberries), frozen
Add some pure water and leave as is, or add anything else that crosses my mind at the moment (Maca, shredded Coconut, Royal Honey, .. ).

I only drink half to 3/4 of this.

I am not hungry after a workout, but do finish the smoothie above; so drink what is left over. Since Im new to CF, Ive also been bringing a few pieces of fruit for the drive back to the house (so, far, they have been a post-workout snack .. about 1 hour afterwards).
