Orthodox Lent Paleo

I know this topic comes up just about every year around this time, but who will be staying paleo during The Great Fast?

We practice a sort of Lent-Lite by keeping fish, eggs, and olive oil. Anyone else making tweaks to either their diet or lenten practices?

Re: Orthodox Lent Paleo

I just looked up Orthodox Lent requirements and man you eastern Christians have it rough.

Does anyone have any suggestions on fasting during Ash Wednesday and Good Friday while in the midst of heavy training?
Last year on Ash Wednesday I kept my eating window to 1 hour during the day, and I ended up getting really sick the next day.

Asking alot out of your body to make some quick adjustments for two days. I know people that do heavy workouts and eat one meal a day but then that is what their bodies have gotten use to.

Re: Orthodox Lent Paleo

While Iīm just a Latin Rite Catholic so I just stick with lots of eggs, some tuna, fish, cheese.

Fast days I just suck it up and donīt have as much as energy, so I might do a shorter WOD or something depending on how I feel.

Itīs really only a few days for me so itīs no big deal. Orthodox - you have it tougher here!
