False grip - Tape or pad?

So, I can hold a false grip pretty well on muscle ups with the rings tapped. However on the metal rogue rings, or plastic rings, once my hands get sweaty the slip off. Do the the gymnastic grips help? Anyone have any experience with taping their hands for muscle ups? If so, how do you wrap them?
