I am certain this has been asked but I don't really have time to search for the answer.

Can you name your gym blah blah Xfit instead of crossfit?

I am pretty positive that you cant but I want to be 100% right.

We got our affiliation but we are having name issues and one was thrown out with this in mind and no one was sure what the answer was.

Well we are up to 110. I have an inquire into CF HQ but I am near positive that you have to have CrossFit in your name. I guess we will find out shortly.

You can name your affiliate without using "CrossFit" in the title.

Or at least you used to be able to. HyperFit in Ann Arbor is an affiliate and it doesn't say "CrossFit" in there name.

True. We have an affiliate in town without the words 'CrossFit' in the title, it's just 'Head Hunters'. But everyone knows they offer CrossFit.

Send an affiliate support member an email, they're really helpful.

True but don't they own CrossFit Ann Arbor?

Pending approval it will probably be BCXfit so we will soon see I guess.

Just don't pay the affiliation fee, then you can name it whatever you want. You can still offer crossfit classes and mention crossfit in your bio as long as you have paid for the L1 license.

Rules were changed on this - must have crossfit in the name now as an affiliate. Theres a thread on these forums where a moderator mentions it.

Gents - I am the owner of HyperFit USA/CrossFit Ann Arbor.

We are in the process of changing our affiliate designation to be more CrossFit Ann Arbor.

The way things were done in 2005 is very different than the way things are now.

Please disregard us as an example.

HAHAHA I think thats funny

Any way BCX CrossFit was approved so thats our name and I am reading the licensing agreement to see if I can find an official answer. I do know that on the website and major advertising you have to us CrossFit. But as for T-shirts and other merchandise it doesn't matter.
