C2 Model D On Craigslist

While perusing over lunch I found the listing below. It sounds too good to be true, and the information looks like it was just copied from the manufacturer, but for anyone in central IL this may be worth looking into. I remember reading about a C2 scam going on and this might be part of it. ($495 for a new Model D doesn't sound legit, but you never know.) I'm too far north to make the gamble worth my time.

Good luck to anyone who persues this and let me know if this is an honest steal.

I contacted at 1 p.m. and am going to see it in the morning. He mentioned it had been returned to amazon.com at some point because of something broken.

Wow was I suprised to see the only thing broken was the plastic "arm" that holds the monitor up. It was also missing the monitor card. All told, it'll take about $10 to make this good as new. The plastic was still on the fan and handle.

My wife and I are excited to have our very own Concept 2 rower! She's never used a rowing machine before (we've been subbing the sumo high pulls) and she's been playing with it all day.

Now, coach just needs to throw us a WOD with rowing in it!

I've got to say that the Concept 2 customer service team (Greg Hammond in particular) are awesome to work with! One quick phone call and I had the new plastic arm for the monitor and a new log card on the way. All for $8.50. The plastic arm was counted as being under warranty.

Thank for all your help Greg! I can see why the CrossFit community talks so highly of the company and the rowers!
