i dunno how strong you are, but wallmart has one that can go up to 20lb in 1lb incriments. That way you dont have to pay shipping

Re: Weighted Vest
I hear that MiR vests are quite awesome... You can get short cut vests from them which lets you move around more/better than a full vest. They can be pretty expensive though... I think a 50 lb. short vest would be around $150 or so.

Pull-Ups, Push-Ups, Burpees, MUs, Squats = All Cool. The impact of weighted jogging/running is not worth it in the end. |

Re: Weighted Vest
I have a MiR vest and I love it, it adjusts easy, and it doesn't come with a fixed weight so you can always change the weight depending on what you want to do with it which I think is just stellar. The weights suck to change though but I'm a lazy bum. Maybe you should ask for one for christmas

Re: Weighted Vest
Glenn,
Sears carries a 20 lb. vest (adjustable) by Nordic Track. I just bought one this weekend on sale for $38, but haven't used it yet so I can't give any review. You can also order it directly and get free shipping. http://www.nordictrack.com/webapp/wc...71801_-1_19556 (WFS) |

Re: Weighted Vest
We use V-Max vests in a 50# & 75# max weights. They incremented at 1 kg per weight bar and the vests themselves are a few pounds. Personally, I loved the 50# short. It was cut close to the neck so your shoulders had to room to rotate freely and it was shorter allowing your core to move a bit more freely than the longer ones. But our guys really liked the 75#, which is longer, but they never complained about the shoulder width and they mainly used it for WOD's like Angie, Murph & weighted pull-ups. V-Max website (WFS) www.weightvest.com
Key points to look for: -The shoulders are narrow enough so you can do push-ups, pull-ups, etc, without the vest digging in & compromising proper movement. -Small (1.5#-3#) weight increments for better customizability (if that's even a word). -Heavy duty velcro - we had a cheapo vest with little velcro holding together the weight pocket and weights flew out all the time in the middle of push-ups, sit-ups or pull-ups. The V-Max never had an issue with weights falling out. -Easy in/easy out - velcro is the easiest here, but if you see complicated belt contraptions holding the vest to your body, you won't be able to ditch the vest or add it on in the middle of a workout. Good luck! |
