My New Garage Box

This is my first post, btw...

To give you a little background about myself, I've been doing CrossFit since January 16, 2012 at Crossfit RKU in El Paso, TX. I showed extremely out of shape after my Dr cleared me from a partial achilles tendon tear. Before my injury, I followed the "bodybuilder" approach to working out. I guess it was a successful tenure. I graduated high school weighing 145 lbs and four years later I was approx 175 solid. I was tired of the entire atmosphere of the "globo gym" offered: straight faces, judgement, steroids, mirror posing, treadmills, etc. I'm kind of getting off topic here, but to make a long story short, I was enlightened after my first CrossFit workout (which was Cindy)... I'm in a law enforcement community and basically, my job has robbed me of free time.

I sadly had to cut my membership short with Crossfit RKU, whom I am forever indebted to for familiarizing me with the essence of Crossfit. I chose family and career over the RKU experience and have embarked on another chapter to my crossfit life. I am building my very own crossfit garage gym. I am also getting my fiancee into the lifestyle as well, because she insisted on not joining the Box. Tonight I purchased the following:

Rogue R-4 Power Rack
R-4 Concrete Anchor Kit
Rogue Bravo Package
Rogue Bella Women's Bar
Black C2 Rower Model D
Ader Kettlebell 2 Pood
Dynamax Wall Ball 12 lbs
and several other items I cant remember off the top of my head...

I'll be posting pictures here as this adventure unfolds.

Re: My New Garage Box

Ladies and Gents,

Today I got home at 0500 hrs from work and couldnt sleep because I didn't want to miss my UPS package. Well I waited and waited and around 1400 hrs it finally arrived. Everything minus the 12 lb Dynamax Medicine Ball (for my lady) came in. Im so stoked. I attached some pictures. I still need to go grab some horse stall mats from Tractor Supply Co and install the R4 Power Rack....

My wishlist:
Rogue GHD
Airdyne
(Everything at Rogue lol)

I'll keep updating, as this project unfolds....

Re: My New Garage Box

I purchased 6 horse stall mats today. Gonna go buy some plywood to build the OLY lifting platform under the power rack. By the end of Monday, everything will be set up . I'll post pics.
