Back Upper Calf/Behind Knee Strain

This started last week after "Tabata something else"

Has some brutal pain in the back of my upper calf, behind my knee.. extreme tightness.

I took a day rest and then the next morning had to run a 10k. Ran a PR and felt pretty good. It loosened up when I started running.

TOok a week off from running and then just went out to attempt todays WOD.

First round in the pain flared up. Was not able to finish the WOD and now it's extremely sore.

A few sources seem to say ITB or Plantaris?? Anyone have any pain like this?

Upper calf/back of the knee is pretty vague. There's a lot of stuff there.

1. I'd say foam roll/tennis ball everything in your hips down to your toes ESPECIALLY your plantar fascia as well.

2. Also, dig in with some myofascial release and cross friction massage for 30 mins per day.

3. If it's just tight muscles you can heat them as well.

This should improve it... if not you may have some other problems that need to be seen by a doc.

I know it's vague but it's hard to explain.

You gave some decent suggestions.
Foam Roller is my best friend.
