Does anyone know of any good deals on floor mats for a home gym? Or what thickness has been good to use?

A local feed & supply store is opening near me, they have the 4 x 6 x 3/4 stall/trailer mats on sale for $49, cheapest I've seen so far. I'd look into those kinds of places. Once something is designated for "exercise", the price goes way up.

Your price will depend on location. Here in Northern Kentucky (lots of horses) I got the ones Garrett references for $35 each.

I see you're in Nashville (I was an undergrad at APSU) so you're probably in luck. I think they have "Tractor Supply Outlet" down there, that's where I went.

www.therubberman.com. We will match any local store's price on the 4' x 6' x 3/4" mats and pass the Crossfit 10% discount along to members. Our warehouses are in KY, MD, CT and CA.

Joseph,
Which of the mats on your site are you referring to? Thanks for the heads-up!

Dr. G,

On our fitness page is a picture of the surface of our 4' x 6' x 3/4" mat. This is made at our manufacturing facility in Canada. Their primary focus is as the agricultural market (first for dairy cows then as stall mats for horses), but the industry has been selling this flooring for weight rooms for years. Even when I was playing college football at Murray State in the 70's this was what we had on the weight room floor! Most of the time, it all comes down to price and availability.

Thanks Joseph. It doesn't look like the "Fitness Mats" link works but I will call in. It looks like you also sell Kraiburg plates. Does the CrossFit discount apply there as well?
I would bet there will be more people interested if you do!

Joseph,
Can you pick up from the warehouses? And if so, where in CA is your warehouse located?
Thanks
