MDUSA - Customer Service

A lot of this was documented in another thread but I feel so good about what has happened that it deserves it's own thread.

In August of 2013 I bought a bearing bar from MDUSA and have been using it ever since as my only bar. Love it and lots of positive reviews from me. I know some people do not care for it but I really like it.

Fast forward to about 3 weeks ago. I happened to notice some odd amount of play in one of the collars. I emailed MDUSA and they think it might be a bearing that broke. I have never noticed anything odd about the spin on the sleeves etc so I had not really noticed but whatever.

MDUSA wanted me to send the bar in to be replaced, only problem.....I live in Canada. Normally when I buy stuff it is shipped to the border as it is far more economical for me. I also explained to MDUSA that I only have one bar and that I train with it 5 days/week (true story, check my log here).

So in the end here is what they did:

They sent me a replacement bar, to my home in Canada at no charge to me and they are shipping back my suspect bar at their expense.

I think this is a prime example of people that care about customers. I have bought in the past from MDUSA and never had any of these types of issues so this is my first crack with their customer service, but based on this I will say they get an A+

Thanks again, lifted on my new bar last night and it is really nice. They have changed the finish on the bar to a nickel and it looks great. Collars are also a little different and the fit of the plates is much tighter than my 2013 bar so overall very happy.

Yeah I have bought a ton of stuff from them and have never had any major issue and when a small hiccup came one time they fixed it pronto.

The barbell/bumper plate business is getting pretty full-up these days. Customer service will win the day every time. You can sell the greatest stuff in the world but if your CS blows then you suck as a company.
