![]() My addiction to crossfit began October 2009 in Balad Iraq JBB airforce base.
i came back in March of this year. In the Army we have to pt tests a year.....well last Dec. my score was 269/300....last May 282/300 ( and i didnt really even do any lenght of running, just crossfit..) My last went down to 272/300, but i blame the marathon i ran the week before for that.... the pt test consist of: as many situps in 2 mins as many pushups in 2 mins and a timed 2 mile run. we get graded on a scale on age soo i got a little help with that..but..when you can beat a lot of younger people ..its feels good, but also its scary and sad...I can beat a 19yr old on a PT Test.....Crossfit is my therapy....i love it. ![]() we |

Re: what crossfit has done for me
Adrea:
That is damn fantastic...you should definitely be proud. Thank you as well for your service. My CF addiction began in November 2010...I have a long way to go, but I ain't gettin any younger either, so I look forward to eventually lapping the young'uns in a morning WOD. Until then I'll stay focused and enjoy the ride. Well done! Reis |

Re: what crossfit has done for me
Congrats!
I was in Balad during the spring of 08. A few people were playing around with Kettlebells and doing daily WOD's. No one was running an organized class, but I remember being intrigued by the one's and two's doing WOD's. Didn't join a CF box until Nov 2010 and am enjoying the experience. In way better cardio shape after ~3 months of CF than I was going to the First Sgt Academy in Sept 2010! |
