protien blocks

I was looking at the Crossfit journal 21, May 2004. It says that 1.5 oz's of cooked ground beef constitutes one protein block. I get 90% lean from Sams and I was wondering if that would make it only 1oz cooked instead of 1.5, seeing as it is leaner than regular ground chuck. also, would a block of 90% lean ground, be it 1oz or 1.5, or something in between, count as one fat block? any insight is appreciated immensely as I am continuing to attempt to dial in the zone...

Re: protien blocks

If you want to be more specific, find out the exact protein and fat content on your meat. The block system uses 1 block = 7g protein and 3g fat. You should count both protein and fat towards your total and figure it out from there.
