Crossfit getting easier

I've been doing xfit on and off for the past 8 months-- and the last 3 months pretty much regularly, but I don't feel the same "crossfit exhaustion" that i used to feel. Maybe it's becasue I am in better shape, but when I do fight gone bad or tabata or something that used to kill me for the rest of the day, i feel like I could do it all over again an hour later. And trust me, I'm going as hard as I can.

Is it just that my muscle recovery is so much faster? Anyone else feel this?

Are your times/loads improving?

Re: Crossfit getting easier

I felt that way back when I was doing wods more in my week. But I also know that I have a genetic endurance that is crazy. It seems that you also have really good overall endurance and have built even more since you've started. I had to challenge myself more and modify my workouts a bit for self-motivation and more self-competition if that makes sense. Are you progressing, though? Times getting better, etc?

Ever do a wod and want to do another one that day? if so, I feel ya...

Though, Murph is one of those workouts that really make me not want to work out again that same day...I'm sure you've done it, but if you haven't and you need more of a challenge...I highly recommend!!

The longer wods tend to help me realize that I should not and do not need to do more workout wise in my day. The shorter, intense ones, like fran, leave me wanting more. It is weird.

If you are improving, then CF is working. If you aren't improving, then it's not. It's that simple.

AND, if you are not improving your times/loads but they are getting easier, then you need to push yourself a bit harder.

That is assuming your goal is to increase work capacity. Keep in mind that CF WoD's are done to the clock to measure work capacity rather than like FLEX or M&F Magazines where the goal is just to complete the volume.
