Re: The Dog Thread

The best dog I ever had the pleasure of spending time with....she was with me for 14 years and on this earth for a total of 17...she's been gone now for 4 years and I still miss her every day, the wonderful Miss Nellie:

(she wasn't a K9, I just loved the idea of this portrait so I set it up and took it)

My current knucklehead, Kendo the retired K9:

And finally, not my dog but a fellow handler's that I took a picture of at a training day several years ago and then made this poster:

We had a Ridgeback when my kids were growing up. 'Shogun' was around for 14 years.
What a great breed of dogs.
We saw one at the Dutchess County Fair this weekend,a local breeder showing her dogs.
The one she had was a monster. Large broad head/face ,very muscular, obviously a crossfitting dog.Beautiful animal. Had to go around 125-130lbs.

Re: The Dog Thread

Well-
Since I've plastered the board on other threads with pics of my boys, here goes... I've got 2 dogs, Beef - a 6 year old Bulldog, and Otto - a 6.5 year old Mini Schnauzer. Otto was my mother-in-law's dog for exactly 1 week. We were going to have 2 dogs, both of them Bulldogs, with Beef's deposit already at the breeder, we were going to wait a year and get an all white female Bulldog and name her Pork (get it? the other white meat?). Anyway - m-i-l couldn't handle raising the new pup due to some medical conditions, so we took him and decided to not get the other Bulldog.

More photos to come, since you can only attach 5 per post.

Re: The Dog Thread

At work, only have this one to post:
My 2.5 y.o. pit mix. Got her from the humane society. Went there saying "no pit bulls, no way." Yeah. learned way more about dogs from this one than any other.
