Re: Where could I get a large tire?

Check your local Landfill. Ours had a huge pile of large tires. I asked the worker there, and he said if I can move it I can have it. I believe they have to pay to get rid of them so you taking a couple off their hand benefits the both of you.

How large? We got one by simply stopping by a tire shop and asking. They gave us a user tire from a Hummer.

Re: Where could I get a large tire?

I just stopped by America's Tire company and asked if they wanted to donate tires to the football team so I could beat the kids up with them. They were more than happy. They had a whole storage room full of tires. I got 5 tires that were large truck tires but not anything tractor tire sized. I am going to try and get some bigger tires from our maintenance workers who work on the school buses, hoping that those are much bigger and harder to flip.

Re: Where could I get a large tire?

Kevin, by now you should see the theme--go to a tire store, especially one that works with farm equipment. They've already charged the customer the disposal fee, they'll be glad to let you haul it away so they don't have to pay to have it hauled away.

Re: Where could I get a large tire?

I went to a local rural tire store and had to stop them from loading more tires than I needed! They love giving the stuff away because it gets them off the hook for them.

Re: Where could I get a large tire?

I went to the local tire store. Not sure about Canada or the US but in Australia they have to pay to get rid of them so they said I could have as many as I wanted.
