just curious where you would purchase one of those big tires that I see people flipping in so many workouts. any help would be appreciated

Purchasing a new one would be very expensive - they can run over $4,000. However, once they're used and can no longer be re-tread, it costs the tire company money to get rid of them, so they're usually quite happy to give them to you. I got mine from Les Schwab - just explained what I was looking for and waited a few weeks until one showed up. Didn't cost a penny.

Find a large equipment renter / owner. Ask them for an old tire or two.

Bring a truck.

go to your nearest tire place.
they may have a tire to give you or they can point you in the right direction.
you should not have to pay anything since the tire place would have to pay a recycling fee.
you may get some funny looks but it should be easy for you to get a 100-200 lb tire for free.
but you do have to supply your own pickup truck.
