great article. i could read stuff by dan all day, kinda reminds me of my dad, and such great quotes:

When I showed up people were dancing, men were in skirts, guys were drinking booze and competing in throwing big stuff. I said to myself: "This is heaven."

Curse you Dan John.
Spent the afternoon interviewing prospective students and trying to keep a straight face with this line running through my head:

"flying overhead reverse grip Batman curls"

Great interview on T-MAG.Dan also has a new issue of "get up" out on his site which as always makes top reading.

Doing the "Jonesworthy" WOD yesterday, I kept getting stares from a couple of body builders (who actually did 5 pull ups each before they left!). All I could think of was Dan and what these guys were thinking when I was doing swings with a 55 lb. dumbbell. Something like, "What the hell is he doing and how does that add to your biceps?"

I find dumbbell swings always cause the most stares...maybe it's the hip thrusting...

My favourite take away insight from that interview is "Peeing on your hands...has limited value in understanding your potential."

Hey Dan! If your reading this thread of adoration - At my wedding 12 years ago, my husband and I had an archery tournement as well as the typical dancing and such. I laughed when I read in your interview that celebrations of the future will have sports competitions! I guess I am just ahead of my time!

"...stick a fork in his ankle..."

Picturing this cracks me up every time.
