I'd get the Zone book and read about the Zone. 99.9% of your questions will be answered.

If that doesn't suit you, search the forums with the keywords: zone diet. There are thousands of posts.

Daniel,

I don't really follow the Zone, but everything that I have read/heard about general nutrition recommends that you eat every 3 hours. I eat 3 meals a day plus have 3 protein shakes a day. I alternate between meals and shakes every 2-3 hours. It has worked really well for me. Right about the time you get hungry, you eat. You never really get that starving feeling.

Aim to eat every 4 hours or so, and not more than 5, is what I read. Eat before you're hungry if possible.

I eat twice a day, and it seems to do well for my 5'8'' 170 ibs frame. Small meal at lunch, then a huge amount after working out.

Lunch is usually 12 oz of tuna, two cans, and as many carrotes or other veggie that I can stand.

Dinner ends up being about 1 ibs of meat, with a salad of some sort covered in olive oil.

I like this for one simply reason, I've gotten accoustomed to having my stomach empty. I now don't have those cravings to eat whatever is available simply because I am hungary.
