Sore, Rested 3/20/2009 10,9,8,7,.....,1* Box Jump Knee-to-Elbows Frog Hop Burpees *Rope Climb after odd rounds My Core is in need of a lot of building, so K2E was almost impossible. I got 3 true k2e on the first set, but following that I did the best I could. I climbed the knotted rope twice after the first two supersets, but I had to switch to "descends" on set 5. I was proud that I could climb the rope at all (I'm new to CF, and not a 'strong guy', yet) |

Very Sore, rested. 3/22/09 Shot my first Speed Steel Match (trying a new sport)... happy with my performance, might have done a little better had I not still been sore from Friday. Fortunately, my score was only for personal gratification, not my national ranking. |

Every 2 minutes for 20 minutes: Sprint 200m Max rep Wall Ball (12#) I ran cross country in high school, but a series of knee injuries post-college has made me leary of running. Fortunately, splitting up the running with Wall Ball helped. No knee pain. |

Lucky 7 7 Rounds for Time: 7 Push Jerk (65#) (my first time doing olympic-style lifting) 7 Burpees 7 Straight Leg Lifts Today was a hard day. The workout from the push jerk left me unable to complete true push-ups during the burpees after the first set. The straight leg lifts also were beyond my current strength level. time: 19:1X |

35# Kettle Swing/Double Under/Box Jump 5/20/5 10/20/10 15/20/15 20/20/20 15/20/15 10/20/10 5/20/5 I'm still not at the stage where I can do continuous double unders. I can go generally 1-1-2-1-1-2-1-1-2 or 1-2-1-2-1-2-1. The fact that only doubles counted meant that 20 double unders for me was closer to double or triple the number of turns for a pro. That plus the 24" box jump really did a number on me. I literally had to lay down for a few moments to catch my breath following the 20th box jump. My time was pretty abysmal, 29:3x, due mostly to the breaks I required to keep from stroking out. Thank goodness tomorrow is my 3/1 day of rest. Brent |

Weigh in: 175.8 lbs 3 Rounds for Time: 800 Meter Run 15 Deadlift (145#) 15 DB Hang Power Snatch (10#) per arm I took it easy with the DB power snatch. 2 years ago I broke my left clavicle. 1 year ago I separated my right AC. I could tell a subtle difference between the feel of my right and left arms but there wasn't any pain. 25:4x Brent |
