Re: Stacy Sells Daily Log

you are doing great....I am not fond of running, hence why I'll only run for 30 minutes. You should be proud of yourself....

Re: Stacy Sells Daily Log

Got my wife Chelsie on board today, and did a very scaled back version of the WOD. I was really smoked toward the end but recovered before she finished. Good Workout.

"Quarter Gone Bad"

Stacy:
Five rounds for total reps of:
135 pound Thruster, 15 seconds (Scaled to 65lbs)
Rest 45 Seconds
50 pound Weighted pull-up, 15 seconds (Scaled to Jumping Pull-up)
Rest 45 Seconds
Burpees, 15 seconds
Rest 45 seconds

Thruster: 6, 6, 6, 6, 6 = 30
Pull-up: 6, 9, 10, 9, 10 = 44
Burpee: 4, 4, 5, 4, 4 = 21
Total Reps: 95

Chelsie:
Five rounds for total reps of:
135 pound Thruster, 15 seconds (Scaled to 20lbs)
Rest 45 Seconds
50 pound Weighted pull-up, 15 seconds (Scaled to Jumping Pull-up From Box)
Rest 45 Seconds
Burpees, 15 seconds
Rest 45 seconds

Thruster: 8, 8, 8, 8, 8 = 40
Pull-up: 7, 10, 9, 11, 12 = 51
Burpee: 3, 4, 3, 3, 4 = 17
Total Reps: 108

Re: Stacy Sells Daily Log

Hang power clean 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 reps

135, 135, 140F, 140, 140, 135, 135, 140

I think I did this properly, meaning form and as prescribed.
I'm completely new to Oly lifts, so I watched a lot of videos and started with an empty bar. As I felt comfortable I kept moving up in weight, performing multiple reps, until I reached 135 and couldn't complete another rep. I counted that as my first score. I rested and did it again, it felt easier so I rested and attempted 140 and missed. I had narrowed my grip slightly, so I rested, fixed my grip, and caught 140. The next attempt I got, but it was ugly so I dropped back to 135 for the next two attempts and finished with a good 140. I think my form was ok, probably not the best, but I'll work on it. The only thing I wasn't sure about was if I was supposed to drop weight and work up to a one-rep max each time. I guess I'll go search the forum and try to find out.

Re: Stacy Sells Daily Log

Went to Wal-Mart and bought a digital food scale tonight. Just had my first five block zone meal. I'm on 22 blocks according to the calculator at Dr. Sears website. I'm going to try this Zone way of life out for a bit, it's hard cause my wife is naturally skinny and only has to worry what food tastes like.

"Nancy"

Five rounds for time of:
400 meter run
95 pound Overhead squat, 15 reps (Subbed Jumping Squats)

17:21

I used to kind of laugh or just think quit whining when people post about some "dude" doing curls in the squat rack. That is until I was trying to get started today and there wouldn't ya know there was some guy doing curls in the squat rack. I got flustered and just did jumping sqats near the treadmills. I was only going to use the bar anyway, but now I know how everyone else feels. Once I finished "Nancy" I found the squat rack empty and did 3 sets of 10 reps, 45lbs OHS.

To update on my Zone progress, it's going well. It's only been one full day, but I did ok and got all my blocks in. Wasn't hungry a bit. Hope I'm not eating to much!

Re: Stacy Sells Daily Log

"Elizabeth"

21-15-9 reps of:
Clean 135 pounds (Subbed 65 lbs)
Ring dips (Subbed regular, full ROM pushup)

12:17

This was horrible, I thought I could at least use 85 lbs. I worked up to 85 lbs in warmup and thought I could get through, but 5 reps into it I was pulling weight. I feel so weak and out of shape, but I think my form is getting better. I messed up and did hang, clean, squat instead of regular squat cleans like in the video also. Pathetic, gotta get better. Only way to get better, hang in there.

"Michael"

Three rounds for time of:
Run 800 meters
50 Back Extensions (35)
50 Sit-ups (35)

28:46

Might have gotten done a little quicker, up to a minute, but my treadmill broke in the first round and someone stole my new one in the second round, had to walk around looking for run that would support my weight at a good run. The back extensions were rough. I think I need to spend some more time and start doing the official warmup so I can practice those (pullups too). Anyways, I am spent.
