Starting For newcomers to the CrossFit methodology

Hello, I just started Crossfit after using the Body for Life method and seeing the article in Men's Journal. Awesome program. I have yet to complete a WOD but am working up to it.

The question I had was this: I currently travel extensively and am at home only on the weekends most of the time so I have limited access to medicine balls, bench press etc... Therefore, I was mainly looking for advice on substitutions for Ball slams and wall balls as I won't have access to a medicine ball most of the time. Any ideas would be great.

Erik,

Do a search using the words vacation, travel, hotel, etc. There are a ton of threads on this in the past.

As for ball slams - I don't have an adequate sub and my gym doesn't have slam balls yet. A move that is similar is the snake move in BJJ but it doesn't use weight. Wall ball could sort of be similar to the o lifts and that family of exercise.
