How long did it take ya to see results?
I was just wondering how long it took ya to see results after doing the WOD everyday? Just wondering.

Re: How long did it take ya to see results?
At the beginning I saw measurable (timed/heavier) improvements every time I repeated a workout. Pick a few "baseline" workouts ie: (scaled) Cindy, Fran, Helen, etc. keep track of all your weights and times, and the next time you do one, you'll see improvement. If you follow the WOD's you should see improvements in 2-3 weeks.

I took weekly pictures of myself. I read somewhere on the site that you would see improvements in 3 weeks. That was true- I was more toned and less fat looking in 3 weeks of doing scaled workouts!

Re: How long did it take ya to see results?
My crossfit journey so far . . .
When I first started, I went to an affiliate that did mostly chipper workouts, I started seeing noticeable results in about 3 weeks. I kept improving all around at a significant rate for 6 or 7 months. I lost about 20lbs of fat and 2" off my waist in this time. Then results started slowing and stayed relatively flat for the next 3 months or so. Then I did a cycle of starting strength. Results were immediate and continued for the 3 months or so that I was on it. Strength improved a lot. Conditioning fell off a lot. I did not do GOMAD because I didn't want to get any fatter than I needed too, but I did eat a lot. I gained about 15lbs from where I was following the chipper WODs. All as expected. Then I started going to an affiliate that followed mainpage WODs. My conditioning had fallen off from the SS cycle (and a stomach flu which ended the cycle). I noticed improvements in conditioning immediately. Strength numbers took a bigger hit than I had hoped for. In the 4 or so months I followed MP programming, I never got my strength numbers back (though they did seem to be creeping back up after an initial decline). Conditioning seemed to be improving slowly the entire time. I retained the weight I had gained on SS, but leaned out a little. I am starting back on another cycle of SS starting today, and hope to have linear gains for 3 months or so, then I will probably go back to MP CF or a hybrid that I come up with to fit my schedule and goals. |

Hey Brett-it's taken me 1.5 yrs to lose 30lbs!
Then again, it probably wasn't just strictly fat loss. Got frustrating at times though. |

You should see the testimonial section OP.
Also, your results will be directly correlated to your diet. It's 80% diet, or more if you ask me. |

Re: How long did it take ya to see results?
For me, I noticed physcial improvements in two weeks. If you want results in the mirror its all about diet. If you want results as far as time and weight, just keep in your mind every second counts....

Re: How long did it take ya to see results?
I have been going now for about 3 weeks. I do not see a whole lot of "body change" but I noticed my energy levels are higher. I have become stronger and my arms have become smaller (after they got super swollen after 2 really hard arm workouts : / ).
Because I feel like I work out so hard and do not want to ruin my results with a bad diet, I have been eating SUPER clean. I am a graduate in Fitness and Human Performance and starting in a Doctorates program in Physical Therapy, so I can tell you that DIET IS EVERYTHING! Even if you don't make it to the gym that day, make sure your caloric consumption is negative so that you can loose weight and continue to see results. |
