Fractional Plates - $29.99

I have read a few threads on here about fractional plates. I really liked the ones that Iron Woody has and someone mentioned that they had "seconds" for $29.99. So, I emailed them and they still have them. I ordered a set and they charged only $7 for shipping. They send them in a priority flat rate envelope which is a great idea to save on shipping. I got mine in great condition and I'm very happy with them.

Just in case some of you are "cheap" like me and hate paying full price for anything. : )

Excellent tip, Scott. I found your post after a CF/google search and just rec'd my 1 pound plates in the mail. They had fraction of pound plates available (for the asking) as well. Thanks for posting.

Magnets and 2" washers from Home Depot and Lowe are the cheapest way to go.

Re: Fractional Plates - $29.99

You can also try to find 2" washers at a hardware store, or use 1/4" chain to make your own fractional weights for much cheaper than $30.

Here is a link explaining the chain method. I have used this myself and it is very easy and inexpensive. The site is work and family safe.

Re: Fractional Plates - $29.99

My 2" washers weight 10.25 oz each. So with 6 of them, I can do 1.25# and 2.5# increments. They cost $3 each at the Fastenal store.

Thanks Wade, I'm glad I could help.

Yes, there are cheaper ways to go. I wanted real fractional plates and this was the best deal I found.
