question about elite CFers

Does anyone know if the great CFers(speal, opt, etc.) just do metcon workouts or do they mix in strength and oly movement days as well? I know they came to CF with a strong base of lifting, just wondering if they still lift heavy now.

Re: question about elite CFers

Look at the Athletes profiles page for the games. Most of them have significant strength numbers and several of them have said that they lift heavy quite often.

At the Level 1 cert. they stressed how important it is to program in heavy lifting on a regular basis. A good example of CF Monsters who are as such due to being big and powerful would be both Greg A. and Josh Everett (not really a full time CFer according to his Games profile).

Lift heavy (more often), do metcon enough, but not too much and you'll be a monster.

No problem. I would also check out the templates that Gant posted in his Hybrid Programs thread.

Good stuff there.

Could that be rephrased to, "The best way to kick *** at xfit is to do something a little different that xfit" maybe?

Re: question about elite CFers

when did xfit start to equal no heavy lifting?

within the guidelines of the february 2003 CFJ template, there are plenty of opportunities for heavy. plenty.
