Before today's WOD I decided to test my squat. I ended up pushing 355 - a new PR for me! Bodyweight 158. A few people were staring at me after that one. After I did an entire WOD after the max squat effor, damn near everyone in the gym was staring.

Graham,

Thanks, will do. I've pointed a couple people in the direction of CF. They checked it out and told me that they're extremely skeptical; I dared them to try CF for a week, we'll see what happens :-)

Incredible ratio between the weight of the squat and your own bodyweight.
Keep up the good effort.

Thanks a lot guys - your words are extremely encouraging. I want to test my DL sometime soon, I have a feeling that I'm at about 400.

Jay,

Man... that is very impressive!!!! You've inspired me, and I'm going to start hitting the squats with more intensity. :-)

Brad,

Thanks and awesome! Since I started squatting heavy I've noticed tremendous improvements in all of my physical endeavors. Of course, it's also a very nice mental "high" to drop into the hole with double bodyweight and pop back out :-)

Jay,

Awesome job. How long have you been lifting in general? I've only been lifting for a year and a half, but not much work on the squats. I think my 1RM for squat is around 235 or so. I weigh 152. I've only been doing squats for 3 months off and on, very inconsistently. Is that okay for a "beginner"(so to speak)? Im not sure how to guage myself, if you know what I mean(if I spelt guage correctly)

Cheers

Rot
