Roy,
Sounded like a great link, but when I followed it, it was a site for weighted vests made for children with Sensory Integration Dysfunction. However, I work with kids who have varied forms of this(ADD, Asperger's Syndrome, Autism, etc.). So maybe this is useful to me. I looked to see if they made 100lb weight vests, but did not see it. Maybe you could try posting the link again as I'm interested. Jason

Wow Jason, Im glad I messed up on that link. Do you think something like that would help with tourettes syndrome? Have you ever worked with someone with TS?

Cheers

I did work with one kid who had TS. He definitely had a tick, however he wasn't the T.V. version TS person who was constantly yelling obscenities. It is possible that it could work, there are many tools that work for no good or scientific reason in abnormal psychology (ridilin and anti-seizure implants are two to name a few).

However, these vest seem to correct sensory issues which are specific to add, ad/hd, odd, etc. I believe Tourettes to be a more deep seated chemical imbalance or one that is dominated by the a different brain make-up. I'm not very educated about TS, but I could break out a copy of the DSM-IV and check it out if you'd like.
