Adductor pain after 4 miles

Hey All,

I'll get down to the nitty gritty. I'm not a professional runner, but I've done my fair share of marathons and endurance races. I've been doing Xfit for the past 4 months and love every second. After my last marathon in May of 2010, I started noticing a horrible pain in my left adductor. The first three miles are always fine, but as soon as the 4th or 5th mile creep it feels like hitting the wall at mile 20. I told my chiropractor about the pain, but since then, running anything more than 5 miles the pain (although not as sharp) continues to be a discomfort.

I stretch. Foam Roller. Everything in the book....

I don't know. Maybe one of you have experienced the same thing. Any help would be awesome.

Re: Adductor pain after 4 miles

Could be alot of things; one thing to consider is an inguinal hernia. Mine started like that.

I wish I had more information. After my marathon I took a few weeks off from long distance and just ran short miles. About two months later, I ran my normal 6 mile route but like I said before, 4 miles into the run it felt like my left leg started cramping from my adductor the back of my knee. I've never felt anything like it...

My chiropractor worked on my hip and shortly after I bought a pair of vibrams and that seemed to really adjust my gait. My short miles are great, but anything over 5 miles and the discomfort welcomes its way back.

And I don't even bother with treadmills cause the pain starts after the first mile or so....

Thanks

Re: Adductor pain after 4 miles
