seeking opinions about vendors for new C2 rower

I'd like to buy a new C2 rower. Seems it's sold for the same price everywhere? ... Rogue, Again Faster, Concept Rowing ... even Amazon. I'd appreciate any opinions about who to go through for quickest delivery, lowest cost, best service. It seems most obvious to buy direct from Concept but I'm still curious about others' experiences.

Yahya, I'm looking right now on Craigslist at one selling for $800 in Tampa (I think it's a model D w/PM3). That seems typical these days. That's why I finally decided to just go ahead and buy new. I really don't see the point of buying used just to save $100.

In other words; I think we all here are too eager to bid high on used C2's

You really have to be persistent and more than a little patient. Work the Craigslist search engines like it's your job and you'll find a deal. Search Tempest helps quite a bit.

The other great thing is the C2 repair parts are very cheap, so don't hesitate to pick up a used rower that needs a little TLC.

I believe that if a vendor wants to sell C2 rowers they can't discount.

I was going to post this. I have received quotes from 3 dealers and they are all dead on, so there might be some validity here.

I bought mine from ROGUE...who had it shipped to me here in Canada from C2 directly.

I contacted Rogue, AF and CrossBoxx (a FL dealer who I have done quite a bit of business with over the past few months.) I had only ever bought used off CL, but for the new Model E, I decided to go with CrossBoxx. The unit came straight from C2 and I got it within a week (maybe 8 days). I figured they all seemed to be about the same process and price, and Mike at CrossBoxx has been super excellent service wise, so I just threw him some more of my business. I don't think you can go wrong with either of the 3 companies though.

One option that may or may not appeal to you is to buy one after a 1-day erg trial if there is one in your area. Full warranty, used one day, saves a few bucks. Here is one WFS link to a Seattle event, but I think the same thing happens at many indoor events during the winter.
