Kettlebell Swings on a Budget

Here's an excellent resource, which is safe for work, that shows how to build a T-handle for swings, in lieu of expensive kettlebells:

Enjoy!

Re: Kettlebell Swings on a Budget

for using olympic plates, you can use a 3/4 to 1.5" reducer coupling, 1.5" nipple and a 1.5" floor flange. (check the size before buying, I might be off)

Re: Kettlebell Swings on a Budget

If you want to be able to do more than just swings here's a DIY kettlebell project:

link is WFS.
This came out to about 13 kilos, although you could probably get it up to about 20 kilos. This size works out well for technique practice and lighter or less conditioned athletes.
