How Tight Should Weightlifting Shoes Fit?

Should you be able to fit one finger in behind the heels or should it be all around tight from heel to toe? I just got mine today and waited over a week for them. I do not want to return them for exchange and wait for shipping. However it feels kind of loose when I walk around in them but when I lift in them they feel fine? I don't know what to do. Should I order 0.5 size down or is that "too" tight?

Re: How Tight Should Weightlifting Shoes Fit?

Found out it might take 3 to 4 weeks for processing if I exchange them...

Re: How Tight Should Weightlifting Shoes Fit?

From my experience, you should have your shoes fit as tight as possible without your big toe jamming uncomfortably against the front of the shoe.

Luckily I was able to try on my Adipowers before buying them, and narrowed it down between a size 8.5 and a 9. I could fit into the 8.5, but my big toe was jamming in the front so I went with the 9 which was perfect.

I would also like to mention that I originally ordered a size 10 online, which was definitely too big for me because of all the extra toe room (probably .75-1 inch). I would say size down half a size, or even a full size.

Re: How Tight Should Weightlifting Shoes Fit?

Well currently my size is not jamming my front toe at the end of the shoe. If I order 0.5 size down that would definitively be the case.
