Probably a dumb question, but...

I've seen the term "w/f safe" in a lot of posts and I can't for the life of me decipher it..... What does "w/f safe" mean? Please be gentle.

Re: Probably a dumb question, but...

See bullet 6, point #2: http://board.crossfit.com/rules.php (Work/Family Safe... Haha?)

Some people view these message boards while at work or near the family, and tagging links helps to avoid any awkward situations. For example:
- you're reading a health article you were linked to from here
- your spouse walks in the room
- she sees images of bikini-clad women in the margins of the article
- you frantically scroll away from that part of the page and try to explain
- she sees images of bikini-clad men (bodybuilders!)

Example page from T-Nation, which although a bodybuilding site, has plenty of good training articles on it:

(Not Work/Family Safe.)

work/family safe, not work/family safe, work safe, not family safe; a required field for any and all links from the forum
