Re: Bhupinder's Journal

16012008

1 hour 5-a-side football. Team lost and the lack of fitness is really obvious. Hard to run around with a belly.

Afterwards:

10 min row
2350m

2 rounds of 6 for time:
Bench Press (60kg)
Deadlift (70kg)
Situps x10 (5kg)
Chinups (deadhang)
Squats (65kg)
DB Shoulder Press (12.5kg)
Bent DB Row (22.5kg)

9m 27s

Slightly faster which I am happy with bearing in mind I had just come back from football. No workouts now until Saturday because I am out both nights.

Re: Bhupinder's Journal

18012008

15 min row
3503m - 2:08.5 pace

2 rounds of 6 for time:
Bench Press (60kg)
Deadlift (70kg)
Situps x10 (5kg)
Chinups (deadhang)
Squats (65kg)
DB Shoulder Press (12.5kg)
Bent DB Row (22.5kg)

8m 10s

Pushed hard for sb 8min in the second round but the chinups slowed me down.

Depending on when the next workout is I'll either push for sub 8min or add another round and aim for sub 13min. The aim I think right now should be to work up to 5 rounds in 20 min. Will take time.

I've also signed up for the Sport Relief 10k which is on March 16. That gives me something to work towards and will force me to improve my fitness.

Re: Bhupinder's Journal

20012008

15min run
2.46km

followed by

4 x 250m row (sprints)
1 min rest

49.3
50.4
51.8
53.2

followed by

10min run
1.53km

Sprints were tough. I'd much rather do running sprints than on the rower. Not fun for the glutes!

Re: Bhupinder's Journal

21012008

15 min row
3511m - 2:08.2 pace

5 rounds of Cindy

6m 40s

This was pretty slow and I couldn't do the usual circuit because the light in the garage went out.

Am playing football later so didn't push too hard.

Played 5-a-side football for 1 hour.

Had a good game, scored a number of goals and the team won.

Re: Bhupinder's Journal

24012008

2.51km run
15m 12s

3 rounds of 6 for time:
Bench Press (60kg)
Deadlift (70kg)
Situps x10 (5kg)
Chinups (deadhang)
Squats (65kg)
DB Shoulder Press (12.5kg)
Bent DB Row (22.5kg)

13m 21s

2.51km run
17m

Added another round today. First two rounds were completed in 8m 30s so slightly slower than last time but felt like I paced myself better this time. Felt comfortable after two rounds rather than hurting bad like I did last time.

Had trouble motivating myself to work out but eventually talked myself into it. Feeling good now that I've finished. Good workout. Enjoyed it today. It helped that I kept the second run at a slower more comfortable pace.

27012008

2.51km run
15m 05s

3 rounds of 6 for time:
Bench Press (60kg)
Deadlift (70kg)
Situps x10 (5kg)
Chinups (deadhang)
Squats (65kg)
DB Shoulder Press (12.5kg)
Bent DB Row (22.5kg)

12m 30s

2.51km run
17m 03s

Slightly faster on the first run and the circuit. I need at least one more workout at 3 rounds probably two before I'm ready to increase.

My diet has been really bad the last three days and I couldd feel it during the workout. My energy level seemed really low and I felt slow and tired.

Glad I managed to improve my times nonetheless. A sub 12m workout is possible. Chinups slow me down as everything else is unbroken.

Earlier in the day I done one set of max pushups and got 35. Will see how this improves over the coming weeks.

Played 5-a-side football. Scored a few goals and played well. The training has already had an effect on my performances. Team won comfortably.

29012008

2.51km run
15m 12s

3 rounds of 6 for time:
Bench Press (60kg)
Deadlift (70kg)
Situps x10 (5kg)
Chinups (deadhang)
Squats (65kg)
DB Shoulder Press (12.5kg)
Bent DB Row (22.5kg)

12m 48s

Slower on both today. Felt really tired before the workout and almost didn't do it so the lack of sleep must have caught up with me. I felt good throughout the workout though although the run before hand wasn't nice for my feet.

Didn't do the second run as it's getting late and I want to get an early night so I don't feel so tired all the time.

Glad I done the workout, even with the disappointing time.

Played 5-a-side football tonight. Scored two goals and the team won comfortably. Good performance from all the players.

Have had a short break from working, partly enforced and partly laziness. Will do better.
