Jim,

Yeah, that's our issue to, we we're thinking of making a wall on the side of the house using plywood, but for now we just throw the med balls up in the air and make due.

The beater bar has a 31mm shaft. Many reviews seem to point to difficulty using it for Oly and high rep metcons with weight, and those with small hands gripping it

If you are looking to get another mixed use bar from Rogue, I recommend getting an Ohio bar. The spin and knurl on it far surpass earlier generation Rogue bars. You can choose your coating. If you are looking to do more oly, Rogue also has a new bearing bar. Finally, Rogue still has some of their old econ bars on clearance (these do have a 28.5mm shaft).

Yeah, I wouldn't recommend buying a 31mm bar. It might be good for squatting since it will probably be stiffer, but harder to grip for all the other movements because of the diameter.

Re: My Epic Rogue Garage Gym is finally complete!!

As far as equipping your affiliate, I would go with Ohio bars, Bella 2.0 bars, and a few aluma tech bars. I would also sneak in a rogue Oly bar (Later if you can't afford it now).

Plates... Get HG plates or comp/training plates. Hi Temps bounce around way too much, and you can only load 455 on a bar without going to iron. Only get Hi temps if you are going to be using your stuff outside alot or if noise is a concern.

Collars... HG collars. Enough said.

Rogue has affiliate packages as well, so I recommend checking them out. Best of luck in your new endeavor!

Thanks Steven!!

Yeah, I'm going with the HG Bumpers, for those reasons you listed. Rogue has been awesome with me and put together a custom package for our budget.

Thanks for all the feedback!!
