I did a search and was suprised that only a few people have done inversion. I first heard about it being used by weightlifters and marathoners. I was a roofer at that time and was already suffering from back strain/pain.
I had the boots but bought the whole rack, much nicer. All I can say is I hang daily and do a little swinging and stretching.
My chiro "2x per week" is in full agreement given the beatings I take. The accupuncturist as needed is also used. Let us not forget my best friend, Mr Ice Pack. For those w/problems, give inversion a try.

Scroll down to the True Blue Pelvic Swing

(family & work safe)

I have used this for a long time and love it. It's cheaper, easier, compact and more versatile than the boots & rack.

I also manual lift people on my feet and traction them and invert them. Lots of fun. Although it's hard to find people that can return the favor.

Hmmm...let's try this link again. If it doesn't work, just go to toolsforyoga.net and click on the chairs & ropes section and scroll down to the true blue pelvic swing.
