On the contrary, most gamers aren't nerds and vice versa. Go to any physics/mathematics lounge at any university and ask how many of them play video games regularly. Probably nobody outside of the TAs raises their hand.

Re: Seen at the globo yesterday

I work the closing shift at the front desk of a Globo, so I rarely get a chance to leave the desk and see all the shenanigans going on in the weight room during business hours. What I do see is the God-awful mess all the bros leave for me to clean up at the end of every night. I normally make a WOD out of it: Clean the weight room for time.

Oh, I do see people doing crazy things with KBs. It's super-hard for me to not be Unsolicited Advice Guy.

Re: Seen at the globo yesterday

Filmed both of these examples of flawless technique within 5 minutes of each other whilst warming up. Watch and learn!

Both safe for work and family

Same day I was told my crossfit workouts were dangerous and warned for running from the free weights to the rowers and back, safe to say I said my piece and quit the globo

Re: Seen at the globo yesterday

I think the training to ensure to not be quartered is coming along great.

I was also trying to figure out how to do inverted back extensions- thanks for the coaching!

I'm sure I've been that guy once or twice!

In a busy/crowded gym, it can be pretty inconsiderate to other gym members (who all pay, the same as you do) to be running all over the place. I've seen a member at my gym get knocked down by someone running from weights to cardio.

Respect for your training environment is important, regardless of what you think of it.

Of course I agree 100% but I train at 6am when there's maybe 4/5 people in the entire 10,000 square foot gym! And it's not as if I'm sprinting I'm talking about a 30 foot jog
