Re: AllisonNYC

So I went to Lululemon's website and realized they have mens clothing but I don't think they sell it online. The closest retailer is 2 hours away.

Re: AllisonNYC

"Grace" as RX'd 5:00

Last time 8:50
At the Pit with 90# about 6:50?
So it's a big improvement

AHH!! Muscle Up News:

I got A LOT today. I can pretty much do them anytime I want to now. I was really starting to doubt myself because since I got my first one I was having a lot of trouble getting more.

They were all as strict as they could possibly be and singles. I wasn't locking all of them out because I'm still getting a crazy headache when I push out of the dip at the top. Strange. The pull-up and transition are easy but the dip is a pain in my neck - literally.

I decided I would try to string two together. I did 3 transitions in a row easily and the third was kipping! WHAT THE??? I didn't think I would ever be able to do that.

I'm pretty excited. I can't wait for Nasty Girls to come up again. No matter how long it takes me I'm going to finish it as RX'd. I'll just have to do the squats and cleans really fast. I guess that's the point anyway.

YAY

Looking forward to this WOD.

Going to Vegas on Thursday morning for a few days and I'm considering using it as a reason to take a break. Something tells me that won't happen. I bet the first thing I do when I get to the Wynn will be searching for the gym. I'll have to bring my rings

Are you craning your neck up? I fixed that problem by not looking forward while doing dips - no more headaches.

Re: AllisonNYC

Allison,

I had a similar sort of head pounding thing going on for a while. Feels completely painful, kind of a shooting pain. A couple things helped:

1) Lowering my caffeine intake (pretty much to nothing)

2) Learning to relax my neck in lifts.

3) Remembering to breathe.

Question too: You did Grace as rx'd (135#?!) in 5min? Or at a different weight? That's really, really, good...

...Also, congrats on the muscle-up work. SO impressive.

Re: AllisonNYC

Hang Squat Cleans 7 x 3

95
105
110
115
120
125
130 x 2
135 x 1 full clean

Previous PR was 128#. I think I can do way more than 135. I just have to focus on form. I felt that it was VERY UGLY.

If I can DL 240 and Front Squat 170 I feel like I should be able to clean about 150. Is that wrong?

Erin: Thanks! I'm trying really hard. "Grace" for women as RX'd is 95! But now I can clean the big boys weight. I still can't jerk it.

Re: AllisonNYC

You'll get 135 in the jerk...and for that matter (and from what it looks like) 150 for the clean. Just biding your time really. Hope the head feels better soon.

Re: AllisonNYC

hey allison!

we were having the debate at CFB over what are women's rx weights. it turns out, the measure is about ~2/3 of what is the men's weight.

so when it calls for 95# - women is 65#
135# - women is 85# (grace for example)
225# - women is 155#

if you watch the grace or elizabeth vids, youll see the annie/nicole using 85# when the men call for 135.

that being said, im all for trying to keep pushing to higher weights.. but thought i would let you know! nice work on your pr's!
