Toughest Competitor Alive

Anyone have advice on training for this beast?? All the events take place in one day, and runs like this:
1. 5K Cross Country Run
2. Shot Put
3. 100 Meter Dash
4. 100 Meter Swim
5. 20-Foot Rope Climb
6. Bench Press
7. Pull Ups
8. Obstacle Course
Any help appreciated!!

Re: Toughest Competitor Alive

well, u didnot tell us how much time u have but this is one really good plan to do all together with the crossfit.com WOD

hal higdon is one of my favourite coashes out there, i used his training plans and improved a lot, i grew up using several training plans that he made.
i am currently using his half marathone training guide but thats too much for a 5k

http://www.halhigdon.com/5K%20Training/5-Kadv.htm this is good for you

but since u only have one long run, and only 1 obstacle course u should propably go for something else,

www.crossfitendurance.com + www.crossfit.com

if u fallow them both together u will become an amazing athlete with the ability to improve your times for these events.

Re: Toughest Competitor Alive

Hi Madeline!

I was just planning my summer events, and I found the Toughest Competitor Alive for police/fire. I'm not sure if you have a scoring template, but this wfs link has all the standardized rules for TCA. The you can see what you're good at, what you need work at, and how big of a points difference it will be.
