Ok, just looking at a regular WOD, it seems like the FBI PFT would be no problemo...and before I knew about Crossfit I had been trained up for the PFT. I went with a different agency, but might be taking the PFT in the not too distant future.

I'm wondering if any folks here have taken the PFT recently. If so, did you do anything different in prep? Or just the WODs and a run through of the PFT to see where you were at?

I'm looking for the best approach.

The PFT is:

Sit-ups (think its 2 minutes?)
300 meter
Push-ups (think its 2 minutes as well)
1.5 mile
Pull-ups

Ted,
One of our Brand X guys went in, in Jan. Before he left Brand X he recorded/accomplished the following:
1) Fastest times in all the Painstorms
2) Murph in 35 minutes.
3) Multiple muscle ups
4) Lever on the rings
5) Helen in 8:09 (Thats a BX Helen with an extra 250M)
6) Fran in 2:51

He reported the following on the PFT:

Hello from Quantico...

First PFT:

Event Reps / Time (Score out of 10)

Situps 55 ( 8 )
300m 40.0 ( 10 )
Pushups 61 ( 8 )
2400m 10:17 ( 5 )
Pullups 20 ( 10 )

Total: 41 / 50

Jeff, thanks for the intel...damn, a 10:17 is only 5 points...woah, must be some fastbastards out there. I had a buddy at FLETC who would lap us all for fun...in July...he made other people puke, stopped at the end of the run and puke in front of a female agent...she lost it. Pretty funny

I'm really trying to nail down the areas I need to work on the most...I use to feel ok about my 1.5 and 2 mile times...not so much now. Same with the 300m. Guess I need to log some miles

:biggrin:Why would you want to join the FBI?....
kidding aside, dont know who you are with, but im a PTTA with another agency with a similar PTT. keep doing CF, youll do fine with the FBI PFT. if you are slow on the runs get som repetition work done or do tabata runs just for fun.

Wow, Painstorm champ with a 2:51 Fran, and he only scored 41/50! Kinda scary- was that at the top?
