Extreme pull ups and pusshups

Some have surely seen it but I just ruined a new pair of shorts when I saw it.

Re: Extreme pull ups and pusshups

Pullup stuff was cool, definitely some BBoys in that group. I wasn't that impressed with the pushup stuff, but who am I to be critical of that

Re: Extreme pull ups and pusshups

This has been posted before.. probably a couple times now (and on other forums that I visit).

And no, I'm not impressed. I'd venture to say that most of the upper echelon CFers could do that with a bit of specific work. Plus, there's much better stuff out there with a bit of searching.

Re: Extreme pull ups and pusshups

With specific training I'm sure many people here could do that.

HAHAHAHA

One of the replies to the video was "you should turn that into some kind of freestyle sport!"

the response was: "they did, its called gymnastics. ever heard of it?"

2 years ago i would have been very impressed.

Not terribly impressed here, either. Though that's not to say that muscle-ups, pull-ups, and bent-arm planches aren't cool.

Re: Extreme pull ups and pusshups

I haven't gotten that height over a bar, bar muscle-ups, or planches yet, so I'll say that I'm impressed.

However, if I were given room to criticize, I would have recommended opening with the pushup demonstration.

Bent arm planches aren't cool. In fact, they disgust me. -_-

lol. im still impressed, just by the sheer fact that those guys likely have no idea what gymnastics is and also the 'flavor' they throw into their moves. hahah, i especially like the leg kicks.

Re: Extreme pull ups and pusshups

Sounds like some people here need to lay off the Haterade.

But seriously, this is pretty cool. Not because the moves are amazingly difficult, but because the persons doing them don't look like they're gymnasts or have had gymnastics training. That one guy is dressed quite nicely, too. If doing muscle-ups wearing slacks and a button-down isn't functional, then what is?
