After Sunday's variation on Helen, w/ the 225 lb DL's, my lower back has been screaming since this morning (Monday). Yea, I've been suckin it up and spraying on the old YBF, but lately it seems like my lower back has really been flaring up more than usual. I even checked my form in the mirror at the gym while I was doing the DL's on Sunday and was sure that I was keeping a good back posture and NOT lifting at the waist. Is this type of consistent soreness normal? I do stretch regularly and it just seems that it makes the stiffness/soreness less than it would be otherwise. Just wanted to see if anyone else goes through this with DL's.

What say you?

Sean, yes...for a while. I would work in some DB or KB swings, to get the blood flowing to the lower back. After a couple of months (3-6) the soreness will go away. Are you doing the Sampson stretch and situps in your warm-up. If not, get to it.

Thanks Larry. I'll have to start working those in.
